Oral Presentations

Each presentation slot is 20 minutes, comprising a 15-minute presentation followed by a 5-minute question and answer period. Each presentation has its own time slot which cannot be changed or shifted. Therefore, the speakers are expected to make best use of the slot and leave sufficient time for question and answers. Presenters must check-in with the Session Chair 15 minutes prior to the session start.

All presentation rooms are equipped with a computer, a data projector, and a microphone. Please bring your presentation on a USB, as well as email it to yourself so you have a backup. To ensure compatibility, please include .ppt, .pptx, and .pdf versions of your presentation. Files can be uploaded before the start of sessions or during session breaks. Embedded videos are not guaranteed to play. Use standard Windows fonts to avoid display issues.

Poster Presentations

The required poster format is portrait A0. Please print your poster ahead of time and bring it with you to the conference on the day of your session.

If you would like to print your poster through Newcastle University please email the pdf of your poster to posters@ncl.ac.uk. You will then be sent a link to pay £30 by credit card. The poster will be available for you to pick up at the registration desk. If you do not print your poster through Newcastle University, you are responsible for bringing the poster with you on the day of your session.

The placement of your poster will be marked on the panel, where it will be presented with a poster number indicated in the Program. Please place your poster at the beginning of the day and remove your poster at the end of the day on the day of your session. Posters left mounted to the boards after the end of the day will be removed and disposed of.

Poster presenters are expected to stay in front of their posters to present their work to interested attendees during the interactive poster session. Failing to do this may lead to marking no-show or absence of the author.
